In a recent interview celebrating his initial three months in office, the government's Windrush appointee shared worries that UK's Black population are increasingly asking whether the United Kingdom is "moving in reverse."

Rising Apprehensions About Migration Discussions

The appointed official stated that those affected by Windrush are asking themselves if "similar patterns are emerging" as government officials increasingly target legal migrants.

"I don't want to live in a society where I'm made to feel I'm an outsider," Foster added.

Widespread Consultation

Upon beginning his role in early summer, the official has met with approximately 700 survivors during a comprehensive UK tour throughout the Britain.

In recent days, the Home Office announced it had adopted a range of his suggestions for improving the struggling Windrush restitution system.

Request for Evaluation

The commissioner is pushing for "thorough assessment" of any planned alterations to immigration policy to ensure there is "proper awareness of the human impact."

He suggested that legislation might be needed to guarantee no future government rowed back on commitments made following the Windrush scandal.

Throughout the Windrush scandal, British subjects from Commonwealth nations who had arrived in Britain with proper documentation as British subjects were wrongly classed as illegal migrants much later.
