One research measured neural responses during composition tasks among students using advanced AI systems and concluded: “These results raise concerns about the long-term educational implications of LLM reliance and underscore the need for deeper inquiry into AI’s role in learning.”

Almost 50% of the numerous respondents surveyed expressed they were concerned their peers were “secretly using AI” for studies without their instructors being able to identify it.

But, most of respondents reported using AI aided them gain fresh abilities, including 18% who said it aided them grasp challenges, and 15% who reported it assisted them generate “original and superior” thoughts.

Student Insights
