Pupils Voice Concerns That AI Is Eroding Their Learning Capabilities, Study Shows
As per latest study, pupils are voicing worries that employing AI is weakening their capacity to engage academically. Numerous complain it makes schoolwork “too easy”, while some claim it hinders their innovative capacity and impedes them from developing fresh abilities.
Widespread Usage of AI Among Students
An analysis focused on the utilization of AI in United Kingdom schools found that just 2% of students aged 13 and 18 stated they did not use AI for their studies, while the vast majority reported they consistently employed it.
Negative Effect on Skills

These results correspond to scientific analyses on the use of artificial intelligence in education. One research measured neural responses during composition tasks among students using advanced AI systems and concluded: “These results raise concerns about the long-term educational implications of LLM reliance and underscore the need for deeper inquiry into AI’s role in learning.”
Almost 50% of the numerous respondents surveyed expressed they were concerned their peers were “secretly using AI” for studies without their instructors being able to identify it.
Call for Support and Favorable Components

But, most of respondents reported using AI aided them gain fresh abilities, including 18% who said it aided them grasp challenges, and 15% who reported it assisted them generate “original and superior” thoughts.
